World of Warcraft Upgrades
Upgrades are parts that can be placed in equipment to give bonus effects. They range from stat boosts to increased proc odds of amazing effects on the equipment.
The item upgrade system is a bit different than the one you are used to in other MMORPGs. This guide will provide the basics and give you some tips and tricks.
Rerolling
A player can upgrade items like weapons, armor and trinkets beyond level 9 by visiting an upgrader NPC. These NPCs can be located through a map search, or talking to an individual vendor. A player can reroll upgrade items when they reach a certain number of them to get different bonus stats. This is not a guaranteed process, but it reduces the chance of spending money or resources on an unsatisfactory set of upgrades. The reroll process is performed through the item upgrader NPC in Central Flarine.
The upgrade pity that was introduced as part of the 2.6.0 gear overhaul, reduces the huge variance in upgrading luck. This means that players have a better chance of obtaining the desired item of evolution when spinning a Pokestop or Gym.
Rerolling an upgrade can be done by engaging with the upgraded item by pressing the green button using the arrows that circle. Rerolling is only available to upgrade items that have not been equipped by any device. It does not apply to the item from which the upgrade was taken.

Sets
